Dr. Susan Lin is a board certified physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology practicing in San Francisco Bay Area for the past 16 years. In addition to woman’s health, she also practices aesthetic medicine and is the owner and medical director for MD Laser & Cosmetics in San Mateo California. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Expert Reviewer for California Medical Board and served as Clinical Assistant Professor for University California San Francisco School of Medicine. She has further training in gynecological oncology training in MD Anderson Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering. In the past she has also been recipient of National Institute of Health research funding and served on advisory board for NIH for autism studies.

Dr. Lin is a mother of Peter and Katherine. Peter is a 10 year old boy with autism. 5% of net profit from the lash conditioner product will be dedicated to benefit autism initiatives.

My Mission Statement

Although I’d delivered thousands of babies, the miracle of life really struck home for me in April of 1997 when I gave birth to my son Peter. I’d never felt so proud or blessed. In 1998 I gave birth to my daughter Katherine, and my life with my beloved husband and precious children seemed set.

When my son Peter was five years old, he was diagnosed with Autism. Autism is a cruel and demanding disease that robs a person of the ability to feel and express normal emotions. It is hard on the victim, and hard on the family.

Suddenly my whirlwind life as an OBGYN Surgeon and “mother on the fly” seemed drastically out of balance. The challenge of coping with my son’s autism set me straight on my life priorities. “OK,” I thought. “We’re going to do this thing as a family, as a team.”

I quit my profitable medical practice and opened a small esthetic medical practice closer to home so I could spend more quality time with my family. My background in prenatal care has given me a natural affinity for alternative medicine, and I felt sure that somewhere, some how, I would be able to seek out the best therapies for Autism.

There are a lot of cutting edge treatments out there. Better yet, my research strongly indicates that Autism, in its epidemic proportions, can be avoided.
